Well, today I learned that I will be living in a double room with a bathroom in Wadsworth Hall. Not bad, not bad at all. Now, I hope I get a decent roommate.

Google Gadget Wednesday: Google Maps

Gadget: Google Maps

Google Maps is a very useful tool that allows you to pull up pretty much any location you can think of. You can also use it to find businesses in a particular area or to get directions from Point A to Point B. Check it out for yourself. You can be on your way by clicking here.

The Power of Makeup

I received this in an e-mail awhile back:

Amazing!

How bad do you feel for the field goal kicker? Not only did he miss the field goal, but it was run back 108 yards for a touchdown. Check out the video here. For the full story, click here.

Google Gadget Wednesday: Google Calendar

Gadget: Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a great tool that gives you a way to store all of your important day-to-day information in one centralized location. Not only is it very simple to use, but it also allows you to share your calendar with friends, invite friends to various appointments, and allows you to view the calendars of sport teams, holidays, friends, and many more! On top of that, you can have your agenda e-mailed to you daily and have reminders sent to your phone in the form of text messages. You really need to check it out for yourself. You can get carried away here.

The Election

The election in one word: disappointing. Although, Wisconsin did do something right. They banned same sex marriage and are bringing back the death penalty.

Here's To The Crazy Ones by Apple

Here's to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can
change the world, are the ones who do.

More On Sean Hannity

Wow! All that I can say is that last night was pretty awesome. Not only did I see Sean Hannity, but I also saw David Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and Mark Green. It helped add a ton of good knowledge to my political arsenal. Just remember, get out there and vote on Tuesday. Your vote counts! In the words of Mark Green, make Wisconsin great again!

Google Gadget Wednesday: Google Reader

Gadget: Google Reader

Google Reader is an incredibly useful web application that allows you to centralize all of your RSS feeds in one place. RSS feeds are incorporated into many websites, especially blogs and news sites. They are essentially a way for you to keep tabs on everything going on on those sites. The best part is that Google Reader integrates with Firefox 2.0 very well. All you need to do is click the feed icon and you are asked if you want to add the feed to Google Reader. On top of that, you can access Google Reader from anywhere and have nothing to download. Go check it out for yourself.

Sean Hannity

If you are going to be in the Milwaukee area this Friday, and have some free time, I highly suggest that you come see Sean Hannity at the Pabst Theater. He will be covering various topics of importance in the US during his visit including the War in Iraq, immigration, the economy, etc. For more information click here. I'll see you there!

Mid-Term Elections

Mid-Term elections are right around the corner. Make sure that you inform yourself on the issues that matter most to you and get out there and vote. This will be a very pivotal mid-term election period as Democrats attempt to regain a majority in Congress and Republicans attempt to hang on. There will be several tight races during this election period and every vote counts. I highly suggest that you check out the following three candidates in Wisconsin:

Governor: Mark Green
8th Congressional District: John Gard
Attorney General: JB Van Hollen

Today, Mark Green was on the Charlie Sykes show on Newsradio 620 WTMJ. He covered several very important topics while on the show. If you have some time, listen here.

The OC

Fall TV shows are back in full swing, but there are a few that have yet to premiere. My favorite show, by far, is The OC. The season premiere is this Thursday, November 2nd, and I can't wait. However, much to my surprise FOX has decided to show the premiere episode on MySpace before Thursday, so I didn't have to wait! I watched it and there have been a lot of changes, but that was to be expected. I'm addicted, I can't wait for episode 2. I just ordered Season 3 on DVD so hopefully maybe some on that content will hold me over for awhile.

Google Gadget Wednesday: Google Browser Sync

Gadget: Google Browser Sync

Google Browser Sync is an incredibly useful Firefox extension used to synchronize various browser settings -
cookies, saved passwords, bookmarks, history, and tabs and windows - across multiple computers. Now I know a lot of you aren't as nerdy as I am and only have one computer, but don't stop reading quite yet. Google Browser Sync can also be used to backup those same settings to your Google account for safe keeping. Don't just take my word for it, I strongly urge you to check it out for yourself. Click here for more in-depth product information and downloads.

An Inspiring Quote

Today, during my typical facebook scans, I noticed a very inspiring quote in a friend's profile. It went something like this: Some people dream of success, while others wake up and work at it, [Unknown]. Now, that is definitely something to think about.

The New Lexus LS

While I was watching TV today I saw a bunch of commercials for the new Lexus LS. Not only does this car look amazing, but it also has some unprecedented features. For example, an Advanced Parking Guidance System. Basically, with very little assistance from the driver, this car is capable of parking itself. Check it out here.

My New Blog
